What is VBS?
VBS (Vacation Bible School) is a summer Christian day camp program with Bible study, arts and crafts projects, games, music, worship and a whole lot of fun! St. Paul Lutheran Church partners with Lutherans Outdoors in South Dakota , whose day camp staff lead the program. Our own Chris Flora, VBS director, is on site, keeping everything organized. The week cumulates with a potluck supper on Thursday evening with entertainment provided by campers and counselors.
What campers need to bring:
Each camper needs to turn in their registration/health history form along with $5. Bring Lunch, water, Bible, shoes to run in and sunscreen. We do have an offering each day, so if you would like to contribute, we appreciate it. To take part in our service project, please bring a canned or boxed food item to donate to ICAP.

The Bible Study theme for this summer is "Love to Serve." Campers will be exploring Jesus' example of service as they learn to follow God with a servant heart. The focus verse for the week is Mark 10:45, but each day will center on a different Bible verse.

Worship - Worship is a time of celebration and praise focused on God. The message of the worship focuses on the theme for the day. The theme is introduced each morning during First Word and is revisited throughout the day, concluding with the daily closing worship. Worship includes songs, prayer, scripture, stories and skits by both the staff and campers.
Games - The games played are inclusive and group building in nature. They foster healthy competition and provide opportunity for positive learning experiences and physical activity for active campers.
Arts & Crafts - The campers, with the help of the camp counselors, will create a project each day which relates to the daily theme. The project helps to tie the theme in to tangible object that the campers can take home to share what they learned with family and friends.
W.A.F. - With a Flair is a chance for campers to show one another what they learned during Bible Study. Each small group will create a skit, song, or other inventive way to share what they learned that day.
Service Project - Christ has called us through the Spirit to be servants for one another. Our service project is to have each camper bring a canned or boxed food items for ICAP.
