In conjunction with the Lake Benton Opera House Dear Tour Director, After the most successful year in memory in 1998, the Lake Benton Opera House has set its schedule for the 1999 season, and it looks to be another blockbuster! I'd like introduce (or reintroduce) you to the dinner theater package that our company, the Country House Supper Club, offers in conjunction with Lake Benton Opera House performances. Our tour package includes a selection from our delicious cooked to order dinner menu with selections such as prime rib, steak, walleye pike, jumbo shrimp among the entrees. Your package also includes beverage, sales tax, and gratuity); and a reserved ticket at the historic air conditioned Lake Benton Opera House. The spring show, Breakfast With Les and Bess, runs for six dates in April. On April 24, the well received Carpenter Family returns for two shows, including a 2:00 p.m. matinee. The, always sold out, Old Time Fiddlers perform at 8:00 p.m. on May 8, and September 11. July 29 kicks off the with the first of 10 performances of State Fair An extra matinee performance on August 7 is a nice alternative time for those of you from a distance. New talent Kimber Lee had just done a recording at Nashville when she appeared here last year. She returns with a 7.-30 p.m. show on August 21. The Fall Play which will run for six performances in October, will be the classic comedy No Sex Please, We're British The season closes with the Annual Opera House Christmas Show on December 4. This show contests of a celebration of music performed by veterans of post Opera House musicals. There are many other interesting things to see and do in and around Lake Benton. We are home to the world's largest wind form. Lake Benton features several unique gift and spatiality stores that can remain open after regular hours for your convenience. Cherie's Cherished Treasures, Christmas in the Valley, and the J. C. Freemont Emporium are within walking distance (one half block) of the Opera House.
