Offerings received last Sunday totaled $1,344.00 in the General Fund and $185.00 Harvest Festival (General Fund) and $10.00 Thanksgiving Dinner, $101.00 in the Building Fund and $1100.00 Harvest Festival (Building Fund), $10.00 in the Mission Fund, $236.00 Thanksgiving Service. Ladies of the congregation will have a brief meeting immediately following worship services today. Our church will be serving lunch for the Blood Mobile on Tuesday Dec. 15th. Please sign up in the narthex if you can wok or furnish food. Sign up sheets for Serving Fellowship and Reading Scripture for 2004 are in the narthex. We still need servers for ellowship on December 28th. If you are able, please, sign up on the narthex clipboard. If you know of anyone needing winter coats, boots or mittens, contact Pastor, Bonnie Top or Carna Miller. We invite you to our Wednesday Evening Advent Services December 10 & 17 at 7:00 p.m. They will be brief (30 minutes) quiet, reflective services of song, word, eucharist, and prayer to prepare our hearts for "The Approaching Light." If you haven’t given your ALCW Thank Offering yet, you can still give it to Carna Miller. If you haven’t given Harvest Home offering yet and desire to, pick up an envelope in narthex and place in the offering plate. Thank you. Adult Bible Class continues today "Christmas, The Real Story". Travel back 2000 years to relive the real reason for celebrating Christmas. A study book may be purchased for $10 but is not necessary. Offering envelopes are in your mail boxes, please pick them up. If you were missed and would like offering envelopes please contact Pricilla at 793-2356. Inter-Lakes Community Action is sponsoring the Hamlin Co. Caring Tree again this year which is located in the Hamlin County Courthouse. Gift cards are available to the public and must be returned for distribution by Dec. 11. If you are interested in donating items, gifts may be dropped off at the Courthouse in Hayti. For more information call 783-3867 ask for Laurie German. The Castlewood Presbyterian Women invites you to their annual Christmas Brunch on Saturday, December 13th at 10:00 a.m. Come share in the festive spirit of the season and invite a friend. LO Camp Sunday will be Jan. 11th. You can pick up a Camp Schedule now. |
